Pastor Joe was born and raised in KCMO. It was at the age of 16, the lowest point of his life when his mother died, that he met Jesus. He decided to give his life to Jesus then and has been pursuing and serving God ever since. He has held leadership positions in youth ministry, young adults ministry, and now as the Co-Lead Pastor of Belong Community Church. He has been a part of the church’s story from the very beginning and has dedicated his life to stewarding, shepherding, and pastoring this community alongside his best friend Sean McCulloch and lovely wife Jessie Moreno. Pastor Sean was born and raised in Kansas City. At 15, Sean was radically encountered by love of Christ in Jasper, Georgia at a little camp called SharpTop Cove. Immediately being captivated Sean lived into his local YoungLife’s motto for people continuing to be apart of the ministry not realizing he was living into the call of all Christ followers, “do for and love others as has been done to you.” Sean started his first ministry called “the Salt and the Light” after seeing the need in his local high school. Since then Sean has since worked passionately in the local Church in hopes that people would encounter that same love he did on a cool Summer Georgia evening. Sean has been apart of leading Belong since its conception in 2019 and joyfully is Co-Lead Pastoring alongside his best friend Pastor Joe. Sean is dedicated to leading and teaching Belong Community not only how to worship corporately, but as regularly as their hearts are beating and their lungs are breathing. Jessie was born and raised in Olathe, KS! She spent two years at the LA Dream Center in their leadership school. She then moved home, finished school, and became actively involved in a local church in KC. All the while she continued to serve in kids ministry and working at a local non-profit organization. She joined Belong Community back when it was just a small gathering in the basement. She has since married her husband, Joe, and began leading the women and family ministries at belong!
