The Basement
It all started with a humble basement on the Liberty Square in Liberty, MO on September 11th, 2018.
A group of young adults, with a burden for young people who were far from God, curated a space for college students to come and meet Jesus. Belong quickly became a space where raw, intimate and authentic encounters with God were occurring. What started with 12 people quickly grew to a standing room only event. Belong continued to grow exponentially, filling the basement each and every week. That is, until the global COVID-19 pandemic forced the community indoors.

The Parking Lot
The community quickly returned to gathering by worshipping outdoors in a parking lot in Liberty. An outpouring of faith fell upon Belong Community in the midst of one of the darkest times in recent human history. We saw young people coming from every corner of the greater Kansas City area to be apart of what God was doing.
However, once it became cold outside, the community had to return back indoors but in a new facility. That is when God opened up a door for us to move to North Kansas City.

North Kansas City
By way of a miraculous event, God opened up a door for our community to move into iWerx in North Kansas City in the Fall of 2020. Our community planted ourselves in this space and we continued to see God do great things in and through young people. It was at iWerx that we started baptizing people, started growing in evangelism, and began intentionally discipling young people.
In this season, hundreds of young adults were impacted by the Gospel, dozens of people baptized into the faith and many lives were transformed in Jesus.

Present Day
In early 2022, God began to impart a vision that saw Belong Community transitioning from a Young Adults Ministry to a Church Plant in North Kansas City. Our pastors quickly began praying and fasting to seek God's will for our community. They received confirmation that this was what was next for our community and through a step of faith, left their full time jobs to begin planting Belong as a Church!
Since the beginning of 2023, we have fully transitioned to church planting and have focused on building a launch team, raising up ministry leaders, and executing outreaches in North Kansas City.
We are so excited to launch on Sunday September 10th at the YMCA in North Kansas City! We truly believe that God's faithfulness will continue in our church and would love for YOU to be a part of the story!
