how do I invite someone into the gospel?

we are believing for 10,000 invitations to the gospel before we are 5

The biggest social impact we can make as a church is seeing souls saved for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. From the first disciples, to the newest believer today; the journey of following Christ usually starts with a simple invitation. If you're reading this then you've likely already said yes to following Jesus. And if you've already said yes to following Jesus, then the Holy Spirit is empowering you to share your testimony and spread the story of Jesus everywhere you can.

This page exists to not only help equip you to do that, but it also exists for you to share the testimonies you collect along the way. You will also be able to celebrate the others who have joined in the good work of sharing the Gospel outright, inviting people to church, or taking a step in the B.L.E.S.S. rhythms.

How do I share the Gospel in a short amount of time? - The 5 Finger Gospel

  1. THE THUMB (think green thumb) Do you think there is something wrong in the world today? If so then that must also mean that there is a better state we all believe not only could be, but should be. That internal feeling is from the deeper and ancient truth that when God made the world He made it good as page 1 of the Bible says.  GENESIS 1:1-GENESIS 2:3, JOHN 1:1-18
  2. THE POINTER (think of wagging your finger) Adam and Eve, like all of us, have wagged our finger at God and said no to His ways and have decided to be the god of our own lives. Since we have done this we have fallen short of His glory, hurting ourselves, hurting others, and hurting the world. GENESIS 3, ROMANS 1:18-32, ROMANS 3:23,
  3. MIDDLE FINGER (think of it dividing your hand in half) Our decision to go our own way has divided us and separated us from God. Now that we are separated from God we are also separated from all that He offers and is. We don't have access to the love He offers, the peace He offers, or the life He offers leaving us with division, discord, death, and no way for us to be reunified on our own accord. ROMANS 6:23, EPHESIANS 2:1-4
  4. RING FINGER (think of a wedding ring) God is incredibly passionate about us and loves us. He is these things so much so that He would send His one and only Son to showcase it. Through Jesus's life, death, and resurrection we now have access to a new covenantal relationship with Jesus. He invites us into a relationship with Him now and everyday going forward. JOHN 3:16, ROMANS 10:9, EPHESIANS 2:4-10, JOHN 15
  5. PINKY FINGER (think of a pinky promise) We are living in the now and not yet of Jesus's coming Kingdom. We get to experience the fullness and glory of God, but still have to live in the brokeness of the current world and wage war against the present powers and principalites. However, it will not always be this way. Jesus has made us a promise that He is coming back for us and will restore us to the thumb and page 1. REVELATION 1:7, REVELATION 22:12, MATTHEW 24:42, PHILIPPIANS 3:20

How do I share the Gospel in a short amount of time? - The Roman Road

  1. ALL HAVE SINNED (23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. - ROMANS 3:23),
  2. SIN BRINGS DEATH (23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. - ROMANS 6:23),
  3. CHRIST DIED FOR US (8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. - ROMANS 5:8),
  4. CONFESS & BELIEVE (9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. - ROMANS 10:9),
  5. BE SAVED! (13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” - ROMANS 10:13)

How do I share the Gospel with people I'm close to? - B.L.E.S.S. Rhythms

The B.L.E.S.S. Rhythms are an acronym that stands for Begin in Prayer, Listen, East, Serve, and Story. We will walk through each of them here.
  • BEGIN IN PRAYER One truth  we must live out is that, "Prayer is the work." As Jesus says in John 5, "19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does." Jesus Himself is looking to the Father to see what He is up to. God has been working in the lives of the people close to us for the entirety of their lives and He knows what they need and when they need it.
  • LISTEN Jesus had an amazing heart to listen to people even though He already knew all they needed. Simply listening is a great act of compassion. For us, unlike Jesus, it is truly necessary for us to listen to people in a way that draws our heart toward theirs and unveils what practical acts of compassion we can live out in our "SERVE" Rhythm
  • EAT "The Son of Man comes eating and drinking..." One of the most common places you would find Jesus during His ministry was at a table eating with people. When we eat with people we showcase their value to us and get an opportunity to go deeper into relationships. While eating is the most common way we do this as humans you can live out this idea in a myriad of different.
  • SERVE This is the rhythm that will make people look at you weird. The world outside the church is not use to free and random acts of kindness. They will wonder why you're doing what you're doing and what you want from them. They aren't used to these kinds of asks and eventually will be curious enough to hear the next S in the B.L.E.S.S. Rhythms.
  • STORY Here we get to share the story of the Gospel and invite them into the fullness of life that we have found our selves. If you'd like to read more in depth about the B.L.E.S.S. Rhythms then you can do so by clicking HERE
