PETE'S BLOG

Meet Pete!

I'm Peter (Pete) Hogan, and I have physical limitations due to Cerebral Palsy. God has blessed me with a mind capable of thinking like other people. And through this blog, I want to share my thoughts and lessons that God has taught me in my life in hopes that it would encourage you!

A little bit about me - I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in the spring of 2022. God has recently called me into ministry and said I plan to study it at Calvary University . I like being challenged and not being told I can't do something. My goal is to be an advocate for special needs individuals, as well as show them the love of God.

Special needs individuals have often been marginalized, and I want to advocate for those who wish to be heard. According to Matthew 25:40, Jesus tells us that we honor Him if we give to those less fortunate. We can sacrifice a small part of us to meet someone who needs to be God's hands and feet. Luke 14:12-24 tells the Parable of the Great Banquet, where Jesus tells us to invite people with particular circumstances to commune with us and that we shouldn't expect anything in return. We will be rewarded upon Christ’s return. They must be embraced by mainstream society instead of avoided. Not only that, but we must bring them into the Kingdom as God desires to have everyone near to Him.

I am thankful to be able to use the gifts that God has given me in this blog. Please take a moment and read a few of the messages God has placed on my heart for Belong Community Church and the Church of Jesus at large!
